Since 2007, all Honda vehicles came equipped with a maintenance minder system.  This system calculates the life of the engine oil, transmission fluid, air and micron filters, coolant, spark plugs, timing belt, and rear differential fluid.  The computer determines the life of each item based upon the driving conditions of the vehicle.  The system then shows codes on a display for the driver telling them that service is needed.  Whether you have an older model Honda that doesn’t use the maintenance minder system, or a new one that has shown you a service code, our staff of ASE-certified technicians and service advisors can advise you on the Honda repair service you need.

Codes:

When the Maintenance Minder Indicator is on, a code or codes will be displayed that indicate the main and sub service items required at the time of the oil change.  As you can see below, the main criteria for a service is either an A or B service, with corresponding numbers (1-6) that indicate additional services required.
